How 'Daria' is still influencing the pop-culture landscape 20 years after the show's debut; Looking back at the importance, and influence, of MTV's coolest teen-girl misanthrope... Two decades later, the series remains a cherished touchstone of the decade – one whose influence can still be felt across the pop-culture landscape of today.

This year marks 20 years since the debut of Daria, the MTV series about a bespectacled, combat boot-wearing misfit whose defining trait was, on the surface, a deep disdain for those around her. In the years since viewers were first introduced to Daria Morgendorffer, she's become a heroine of sorts for many who saw (or still see) themselves as outsiders – particularly women – for whom mainstream depictions of non-traditional characters were, at the time, few and far between. This Crazy Skyscraper Is A Solar Power Plant And Small City All In One Would you live in a solar chimney? Inside a new conceptual building, there’s room for the entire population of a city the size of Cleveland–and the building can generate power for all of them.

 The design is a solar chimney, an enormous tower that sits in the middle of an equally huge solar collector. As the sun warms the collector during the day, the air underneath it becomes hotter than the air outside, and is naturally drawn up through the tower.  Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22. Worldwide, various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day events in more than 193 countries are now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network. Numerous communities celebrate Earth Week, an entire week of activities focused on the environmental issues that the world faces. In 2017, the March for Science occured on Earth day (April 22, 2017) and will be followed by the People's Climate Mobilization (April 29, 2017).

Over the past few years, as ClearlySo has grown and changed, the most common questions we have been asked are: “What is a social enterprise?” and “What is a social business?”. We knew underneath both simply meant an organisation that seeks to be financially successful while creating social and/or environmental impact. It has commercial goals and it has impact goals – it is really not that complicated.
 

With famous examples of these kinds of businesses –  Green and Blacks, Divine Chocolate or Ben and Jerry’s – people can understand what it means to consider social impact alongside financial return. Many people who approach us ask how social enterprises make their money, or how a social enterprise is different from a business (or indeed how it is different from a charity). Because there is such a range of high-impact organisations operating in such a myriad of ways, these questions are impossible to answer precisely – except that, simply put, these businesses have impact and financial success at their core. The new project of Elon Musk wants to merge man and machine with Neuralink; The SpaceX and Tesla founder wants to prepare humans for the rise of artificial intelligence by helping us merge with computers. Elon Musk is attempting to combat the rise of artificial intelligence with the launch of his latest venture, brain-computer interface company Neuralink.
 

Little is known about the startup, aside from what has been revealed in a Wall Street Journal report, but says sources have described it as “neural lace” technology that is being engineered by the company to allow humans to seamlessly communicate with technology without the need for an actual, physical interface. The company has also been registered in California as a medical research entity because Neuralink’s initial focus will be on using the described interface to help with the symptoms of chronic conditions, from epilepsy to depression. In mid-November 2010, the American musician Perry Farrell announced that the twentieth version of Lollapalooza festival would be held for the first time outside the United States; The site chosen was the Parque O'Higgins in Santiago, Chile (South America), on 2 and 3 April 2011. The seventh version of Lollapalooza Chile will be held on 1-2 April 2017;  The  headliners will be; Metallica, The Strokes, The Weeknd and The XX.

 
Lollapalooza Chile is a Santiago, Chile–based version of the popular music festival Lollapalooza. The annual festival launched in April 2011 in Santiago’s O'Higgins Park and features alternative rock, heavy metal, punk rock and hip-hop bands from both Chile and abroad. Lollapalooza Chile returned to Santiago in 2017 and you can follow the show this 1 & 2 april in official Live Streaming via VTR. . .
